I believe in magik!!! Leave fairy dust wherever you glow :-) If ever I feel a wee sad, I always go outdoors and a face appears in a cloud, stone, leaf or flower and smiles right back at me before vanishing back into the magical realm that many don't see as their imagination has gone to seed! Plant seeds of possible, nourish with love and light and reap what grows! Like minded imagineer! X

Thanks Nic and Julie. At the end of the day, a greenhouse is a greenhouse, it provides a glass environment for your plants. What it looks like is definitely a secondary concern.

I have to say that I would probably rather have had a small metal one for the past 12 years than none at all, but it's wonderful to have the dream come true all at once!

Your greenhouse is indeed a thing of beauty. I have a tiny little metal framed one - it was already in the garden when we bought our house - but I dream of a wooden framed one that I can get more than 6 tomato plants in. The retirement smallholding will one day be mine!

Hi happyhive, welcome and nice to see you here. Jamie my husband has been trying rasps for a couple of years with no success. I wonder whether we need to water more regularly, because the soil here is chalky?

Anyway, I completely agree about the faves, and I would add the much maligned runner bean, which is one of my favourite allotment delicacies.

Try raspberries, Moyra; they are much easier than strawbs and stay put for 10 years (try Ken Muir who sends them in the post. Other faves for us are broad beans, mange tout peas & rhubarb. Good luck!
